My Interest in Fitness came about whilst I worked for a traveling Circus in Italy where I worked as an Elephant rider and learnt how to perform on silks in 1986. I then embarked into the fitness industry at the age of 22 as an Aerobics Instructor and now at the age of 49 I have retrained over the years in a variety of disciplines. I attained a Degree in Sports Injury and Rehabilitation as I felt this would give me an in depth knowledge of Biomechanics, Anatomy and Physiology.
This qualification enabled me to treat people in their daily lives who had either an injury or postural imbalances. It was such a rewarding job to help people return to normal everyday activities as I believe in getting people to be the best they can be. I then continued to broaden my knowledge and complete a Personal Trainer Qualification. This gave me the tools to then work closely with Clients, building a strong relationship with them and guide them towards their goals, ensuring each session is tailored to that individual.
From this I wanted a deeper understanding of Nutrition so I undertook an Internship with a leading Fat loss Specialist and have also participated in various courses and workshops. I now feel fully equipped to be able to deal with a broad range of clients, especially those who need help in lowering body fat after successfully running a Body Transformation Group for the last 8 years.
I am a strong believer in working hard but having fun at the same time. It is all about lifestyle changes and I will do my upmost to help you achieve this. I wear my heart on my sleeve. On a personal level I am married and have 4 children. I have also worked as a volunteer for Parkinsons Society and a local football club as a Sports Therapist
